About Us

The Harvest Mid-County Hub Program, established in 2020, represents a transformative partnership between Harvest Intercontinental Church in Olney, Maryland, and local County authorities to address pressing community needs. This initiative was created as a beacon of hope and support, designed to serve as a central hub for delivering critical resources and services to underserved populations within the Mid-County region.

Vision and Mission
The program’s vision is to create a thriving community where every individual has access to the resources and opportunities needed to lead a dignified and fulfilling life. Grounded in the mission of Harvest Intercontinental Church to serve with compassion and excellence, the Mid-County Hub seeks to empower individuals, strengthen families, and foster community resilience.
Key Objectives
1. Resource Distribution: Provide essential items such as food, clothing, diapers and hygiene products to individuals and families in need.

Since its inception, the Mid-County Hub has positively impacted thousands of lives through its programs and initiatives. Key highlights include:
Impact by the Numbers
· Households Served: 1,641 households currently registered, benefiting 5,473 individuals.
· Annual Food Distribution: 721,000 lbs. distributed each year.
· Households Served Annually: 16,600 households.
· Individuals Served Annually: 71,000 individuals.
· Home Deliveries: 4,100 deliveries annually.
· Diapers Distributed: 80,500 diapers annually.
Community Engagement
· Hosted over 25 workshops and community events since 2020, focusing on health, education, and employment readiness.
· Serves as the primary Diaper Hub, supplying hundreds of thousands of diapers to families and supporting other hubs in the region.
Funding and Resources
· Secured over $500,000 in grants, including:
o DDHS
o ARPA (American Rescue Plan Act)
o CAFB (Capital Area Food Bank)
o Giant Food Store
· Resources:
o 1 box truck
o 1 refrigerated truck
o 2 trailers
· Volunteer Support
A dedicated team of over 50 volunteers contributes to the Hub’s success.
· Outreach and Communication
Publishes a monthly newsletter and video to share updates, success stories, and impact highlights with the community.
The Mid-County Hub remains committed to serving its community with excellence, providing essential resources, and fostering meaningful connections.
Future Vision
Building on its success, the program aims to expand its services by:
· Launching specialized initiatives for youth development and senior care.
· Introducing digital literacy programs to bridge the technology gap.
· Enhancing operational capacity through upgraded facilities and increased volunteer engagement.
· Increasing distribution sites in the community.
