Scott has worked for Graeves Auto and Appliance since 1975 and took over the shop from his father in 1985. Scott has lived in Montgomery County all of his life and continues to live in Brookeville with his wife, Nancy, and two sons.

Scott has received many awards from the local business community, including the Olney Chamber of Commerce ''2006 Business Person of the Year.'' He supports the community with generous donations to many great causes, including the Freeman Fields for the Olney Boys and Girls Club.
