Due to the ever increasing positive Covid rate, effective immediately, the Sandy Spring Slave Museum & African Art Gallery, Inc, is closed until further notice. We will do our part to help flatten the curve.

The community tree lighting is cancelled, but you may drive by after November 29 to see our tree.

Tree Lighting

Begin the holiday season on a festive note! On the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the Sandy Spring Slave Museum & African Art Gallery will host a 'Tree Lighting' event. There will hot chocolate, yummy s'mores and plenty of good cheer! Come join in. You must practice social distancing and wear a mask!
