Paper and Fiber Arts Camp

Paper and Fiber Arts Camp will allow participants to explore a range of paper and fiber arts in two easy half-day sessions. Our morning session, Program I, will explore the art of making a book using colored pencils and simple paper folding techniques with a focus on castles and dragons. We will also use Japanese paper folding crafts to create simple boxes and containers. The afternoon session, Program II, will introduce felting and spinning techniques with our resident spinner.

The program will be led by book artist Beatrice del Olmo Fiddelman and Japanese paper arts enthusiast, Liz Symborski. Program II will be led by museum staff and local spinners.

Hours:   Program I 9 am-12;     Program II 1 pm -4 pm

Before and After Care: 8 am-9 am and 4 pm-5 pm, $20 extra

Tuition:     Members- $35 per session or $70 for both; Non-members- $40 per session or $75 for both

Attendance: Maximum of 20 per session

Age range: For ages 6- 7, and ages 8 – 10
