History Happy Hour: Smith Island Culture

Janice Marshall and Elaine Eff will educate and entertain with a discussion on A Rising Tide: The Impact of Sea Level Rise on Traditional Communities, which offers a striking visual overview of island communities in the Chesapeake Bay and how sea level rise is affecting their livelihoods.  A special focus on Smith Island will highlight fishing culture and Smith Island foodways with samples of the famous Smith Island cake. $15 for members and advance ticket purchases.  $20 at door.  Includes happy hour food and beverages.
