Since joining NPR in 1982 as a labor and education reporter, Tom Gjelten has become a familiar voice and trusted expert. One of NPR’s pioneer foreign correspondents, he covers issues of religion, faith and belief around the world. He has authored several books, most recently A Nation of Nations, A Great American Immigration Story. A private reception (from 7 - 7:30 pm) will precede a talk on current events, followed by book signing.
