You won’t believe your eyes during this special magic show performed by close-up magician Will Slade. See objects appear and disappear, change color, and change form all while you are seated only several feet away from the magician’s table.
Close-up magic is a specialty performed in an intimate setting usually no more than ten feet from one’s audience. Also known as “sleight of hand,” it usually involves manipulating cards, and small objects such as coins.
Will Slade is retired from the US Secret Service, where (while off-duty) he entertained presidents, members of many First Families, foreign dignitaries, members of the Press Corps and elected officials. He is a member of The Magic Circle. If we are lucky, he may share a tale or two from his fascinating career, included how he collected the English penny used in his show from Buckingham Palace.
Audience will be limited to twenty people so everyone gets a close-up seat. Informal wine and cheese reception to follow performance.
100% of the proceeds of this program will be donated to the museum.
